TOY STORY
Woody, Buzz, Jessie & the alien from the toy machine
Mitch E Lightyear
Nash E alien
& here is our Bishop, the chicken.

We had a fun halloween. We went with the Toy Story theme (I know, again) JOrd didn't really want to re costume but, I didn't really want to make 4 new ones so, I guess I won. The biggest reason was we only got to dress up 1 night this year & I wasn't sure at first if our ward was even going to do trunk or treat. They did end up doing it on Halloween night so, that is what we did. The boys had a fun time & Nash said "trick or treat" so cute! everyone kept saying how cute he was. After trunk or treat we drove around the neighborhood to see some of the amazing houses. People go all out here for halloween, turning there houses into graves & crazy stuff. It was a lot of fun. I wish that the pictures I took of the houses did them justice but, they don't. SO, if you want to see them- you'll have to come visit for halloween.

Not only did he cut his, but, you got it he cut his brothers too.

this is where he got it, right to the scalp. Nash just had 2 small spots but, they were also to the scalp but, thankfully at the back of his head.

These photos don't even give the job justice! I was giving a haircut last week & someone asked me (while Mitch was standing right there) if Mitch had ever tried cutting his hair. I quickly said, NO, he hasn't, I have been really lucky, since he sees me do it regularly. The truth is, I have tried not to ever say much to him about cutting hair because I feel like, if I plant the seed this is what would happen. I have said I am the only one who gives haircuts to him before, I just have tried to not make it a big deal. SO, needless to say the seed was planted & about 3 days later this is what transpired while I was, of course ,taking a quick shower. & to top it all off we are supposed to be getting family photos next week. I do realize it could have been much worse!
& it could have happened years ago. Lets just pray it NeVeR happens again. WE had a good talk about who is the "hair cutter" at this house & bless his little heart he didn't want me to tell anyone. So, don't say anything to him about this.. I told him we were going to have to buzz it off like dads (because, everytime he gets a haircut he says, you're not going to do it like dads right? i want hair) & to my surprise he said, oh mom, I've always wanted a haircut like dads.YEAH RIGHT!

PUmPkinS

We had the Taylors & Dominguezs over a few nights ago to carve our pumpkins. We had a really fun time as usual. It was a 1st for a few of them... & we are glad it could be at our home. It is a tradition JOrd & I started in Utah with my family when we first got married & my family still does it without us. SO, now we do it with our favorite friends. It is the 2nd year the Taylors have done it with us & we hope there will be many more. Thanks for coming guys. Love all the awesome carvings.

GraMMe & GraMpe G came for a visit...

Last week my mom & dad came down to visit for most of the week. It always seems like the time goes by much too fast. They're here & then they're gone... just like that. We had a good time with them & hope they come back soon! Saturday, we picked them up at the airport & just came home & relaxed & of course had to watch some Yankee Baseball. Sunday, we went to church. Monday, I took mom to a few fun craft stores while JOrd & dad went golfing & late on that evening we sat in the hot tub for a little relaxation. Tuesday, we took the boys to the park to play baseball & went to Tia Rosas & later that night went to JOrds softball game & out for yogurt at our new favorite place, the Yogurt Jungle. Wednesday, we went on a little drive to Fountain Hills to see the fountain spray & have a little picnic. It was a nice day & the boys liked playing baseball & swinging at the park there. I think we will probably try this place out again sometime. We also had to stop & get the boys pumpkins, my dad was going to drive all the way down again just to bring the boys pumpkins from his garden. (seriously, is that true love or what? they did it last year & I think he was trying to make it a new tradition)However, my mom said "NO" we can just go buy some when we get there & have a few extra days to visit. The boys really liked grampes help. He is a pretty good pumpkin picker. I can remember when I was growing up we planted pumpkins every year & we kids would slae them to the neighbors. We would even deliver them to there homes, by red wagon. It was way fun! Anyway, Thursday was the last day so we spent the morning making sure they had everything they needed to get back home & took them to the airport. We loved having them here & wish that we lived a lot closer so we could see them more often. Thanks mom & dad for coming. WE LOVE YOU! & miss you already.

OctOber fUn

ok so if you sort of saw this earlier... JOrdan accidentally posted an unfinished post. So here goes. Here is Mitch with one of our favorite friends Bailey. She came over to play & we made snickerdoodles. Here they are making there scary faces.
I had to throw this one in. Like 15 minutes before we were leaving for California Nash got into my mascara & tried to put it on like I do, as you can see. The stuff would not come off. He poked it right in his eye & it looked like he had a black eye instead of beautiful lashes. bOys:)
Mitch & Nash put together the pirate ship that gramme gave Mitch for his birthday. It was a fun little project for us to do & they have been playing with it a lot.
Here is my favorite thing of the month. I had this great idea to let the kids make haunted houses (we did it in 6th grade & it was so much fun) so, I called my friend Amy & invited her & Bailey to come do it with us...
We had a fun dAy doing it. I thought that the kids would like doing it a lot more than they did though. I think the only thing they actually ended up doing was make the ghosts & help with the trees & the rock path. I guess that was pretty good, right.
Me & Amy had fun doing it anyway. I felt pretty creative. We could have kept adding stuff all night if we would have let ourselves. So much for a kid project right. I guess I needed another mOm project.
I thought this was another sweet photo of Nash. He has never done this before. I was making lunch & turned around to Mitch saying, "mommy, I think Nash E fell asleep on the table. sh..." tired boy.
here is one more craft I made with Amy that week. it was a bIg week for me (i am not too "crafty", i have great intentions & visions of myself one day being one though) it is the shoe one. it was a lot of fun too after the sanding... i thought that thing was going to go flying out of my hand & hit something. i definetly need some practice.

here we are getting into the HallOween sPiriT. it is one of our favorite times of year...

Taylie BUg

i was reading a friends blog the other night & came across this story about a little girl named Taylie with acute myloid leukemia. if you get a chance you should take a look at http://www.tayliebug.com/. there is also another blogger that did a fundraising event to help this family out. i love when i see such good things being done & am reminded that i should do better. if you want to see more look at megans blog. she has the other link. it is amazing what the power of 1 can do.

CALifORniA rOund 2

the Fryers & the Skids
Here are the boys, heading out for another road trip. We went to California last week to see some of our favorite Arizona friends... the Skidmores. We met them in our ward when we moved here & 2 years ago the decided that Temecula CA would become there home. Mike is the worlds best dentist & that is where he has his practice. It is a really nice place. We had a great stay.
Saturday, we went to Oceanside to enjoy some sun & sand. Here is Nash, Jaida, Jett, & Mitch playing.
Chantel got me to try this again... at least this time i didn't swallow 1/2 the ocean.

here is Mitch practicing for his future- "surf instructor" job.he absolutely loves the water. maybe someday he will really get to try surfing.

Shan & Chan
We went to dinner at this Mexican restaraunt called the Bank. It was in an old part of town so we walked past this place... the old Temecula jail, notice the extra in our photo? we were joking that it is an orb, because it wasn't in any of the other pictures taken right there. spooky huh.

here is the real reason we went for a visit. Mitch had a big cavity king in his tooth so we had Dr. Skidmore eliminate it. He actually ended up having 2 darn it! anyway, he did so good. Mike was distracting him so he wouldn't see the needle for the numming & as he put it in his cheek Mitch said, "that hurts a little." we were laughing. he was way tough though. the 2nd one he didn't even have to get nummed for.

DiSneyland Day 1...
me & me sweet hubby

here we are in front of the haunted mansion. JOrdans favorite. it was the 1st week of Halloween decor at Disney. they make it so fun.
JOrdan also thought he needed a "spoonful of sugar" when he saw Mary Poppins.

here we are heading to the car. Nash got to ride on daddys shoulders. it may have been his favorite ride of the day.
Day 2. California Adventure. here they are with Mator & McQueen.
JOrdan & Mitch on the rapids... the guyser you see errupting- erupted all over JOrdan.
as you can see. he was wet nearly the whole day.
here we are getting ready for one of our very favorites. the WOody ride.
say "chEEse"
mmm. cotton candy (everywhere)
we got to meet some more characters this year that we didn't last year. here we are with Woody.
& Mr. Incredible
& Sully

these 2 had such a great time together. & I just deleted a pictue. I swear. I will one day figure this all out. I need to learn how to do the collages! the picture on the top is the one i deleted. Chantel brought her kids the 2nd day. we were so glad.

here we are in front of the biggest Mickey pumpkin ever. ready to head home.
the girls... We got asked if we were sisters like 5 times while we were there. the ladies at Mikes office thought i was her when i 1st walked in. funny. when we lived by each other we never got that. i'll take it.
the last ride of the day. Madderhorn. can you believe they let my baby ride this & NOT 1/2 of the other rides? go figure. it was fun!
can you spot the FRyeR? this iswhat the streets looke dike trying to get out of here after the fireworks. it was crazy! especially with 2 strollers.
We had such a fun week with the Skids! THANK YOU guys soo much for all the hospitality, GENEROSITY, food, entertainment & FUN! we really appreciate it! more than you'll ever know. WE hope the next time you are here you will let us repay you with a stay. The boys had a great time with your kids & we had a great time seeing you!
